I'm taking part in a collaborative project, where many different artists create small chunks that form a larger picture. I don't know what it's of, and it's hard to guess from the fuzzy pictures I was assigned.. will be interesting to see when it all gets assembled! I did two boards, a 4"x4" + a 5"x7".

Tyranny
Sure, it sounds like a good deal...
but the entire kingdom was lactose intolerant!
Alternatively + originally, the peasants are sad because the king is always declaring national holidays, which has ruined the economy.

Blah Blah
I took 'Baltic Bandit' - one of my first acrylic experiments - and painted over it, and stamped ink all over it, then layered, and layered, and layered some more. Up close, the ink/oil/gesso combo makes for interesting depth illusions. Here's a visual history:
Blah Blah, mixed media on 12"x12" canvas. For sale.
In all likelihood, I'll end up painting over this in 9 months, much like last time.

Synergist Collaboration
It's done! My collaboration with Mandy Tsung is framed up, ready to travel. Awesome awesome project. Looking forward to the future; possibility of live collaboration on Cypress Mountain during the 2010 Olympics. Very cool!

Mandy has new work in the upcoming '5' show at Ayden Gallery in Vancouver, which opens this Saturday, Feb. 13th. I highly recommend you see her stuff close up!

More Synergist
I'm stoked on this collab- I can't stop spamming my Facebook + Twitter with progress shots! Doubled the linework in two days, and now the major ink is done. Mandy Tsung will pick up her brushes and attack it next.
